COSMOS ORGANIC CERTIFIED BY ECOCERT

• COSMOS certified products are produced to the highest standards of natural
• Organically certified cosmetics and are safe, effective and good to use.
• The certification is widespread and acts as an international standard that is easy for the consumer to identify.

To obtain the Ecocert COSMOS Organic label, 95% of the product's plant-based ingredients must be organic, while a minimum of 20% of all ingredients must be organic (10% in rinse-off products).

COSMOS is a standard for organic and natural cosmetics. Ecocert is one of four founding certification bodies of this standard and is accredited to certify cosmetic products. COSMOS Organic is the highest level of certification of the COSMOS standard and all FORESt RIOT  products carry this label.

COSMOS (COSMetic Organic Standard) is a European standard for certified organic cosmetics, launched in 2011 and used in more than 70 countries. Behind COSMOS are five organic labels that have joined forces to create one common organic label to help consumers in their search for certified organic cosmetics:

• ICEA (Italy)
• Cosmebio (France)
• Soil Association (United Kingdom)
• Ecocert Greenlife SAS (France)

Ecocert is an inspection and certification body. Established in France in 1991, it specializes in the certification of organic agricultural products and was the first certification body to develop standards for 'natural and organic cosmetics' in 2003. Ecocert is responsible for managing Ecocert COSMOS, which certifies both organic cosmetics (COSMOS ORGANIC) and natural cosmetics (COSMOS NATURAL).
