About Founder

I was born in Milan, Italy. At the age of 5, I was put on a plane, by myself towards the Nordic and distant country of Finland.

My grandparents met me with open arms and pure love, and I was introduced to a simple way of living on a farm they had built from nothing, after fleeing the war from Karelia.

Even if we didn't speak the same language, I could feel the trust and love surrounding me. They comforted me in my nightmares or when I feared thunderstorms. 

And surely this little wired-up little girl that I was, began to change. 

I fell in love with the farm life and all the animals there, were named by me.  Accessorizing cows with bows and feeding the newborn calves with baby bottles are still my favorite memories.

Picking mushrooms and berries in the nearby forest and exploring its beauty, soundscape, and rich textures. 

I remember my grandmother saying: "Elsa, you have to learn to listen to the forest."

And surely, I could experience the forest come alive. It felt like a surrounding presence of something greater gently embracing me.

Healing me, grounding me. 

I always wondered what my grandmother meant by listening to the forest, and it was only later in life that I understood that she also referred to a state of mind. An inner place, where I could be rooted when facing challenges and hardships.

Coming from a clean beauty background, I strongly feel the momentum of conscious consumerism and the urge to provide forest skincare products with a deeper sense of skinmalism. Teaming up with the best scientist, I dove into the studies of the Nordic forest biodiversity uniqueness- and never left. 

It´s time to produce even better products and to consume wiser, without exploiting our planet and the future generations.
