What is Forest Extract?

Forest Extract is a potent blend of nutrients and antioxidants sourced sustainably from the lush forests of Finland, and their rich ecosystems. It promotes skin barrier strength and resilience.

Actives & Benefits

  • Water: Water moisturizes the surface of the skin and acts as a solvent.
  • Birch Sap:Finnish organic birch sap moisturizes the skin very effectively, and the minerals contained in the sap support normal cell renewal even on irritated skin. The magnesium contained in the sap soothes skin itching.
  • Glycerin:  Vegetable glycerin acts as a skin`s moisturizer and softener.
  • Jojoba Seed Oil: Organic cold-pressed jojoba oil soothes, treats and softens the skin and prevents moisture from evaporating from the skin. Jojoba oil contains Omega-6 and -9 fatty acids, which help strengthen the skin's own protective barrier and curb skin inflammation.
  • Shea Butter: Organic shea butter softens and provides that silky feel on skin and prevents moisture from evaporating.
  • Cetearyl Olivate: An emulsifier derived from olive oil according to the Cosmos natural cosmetics standard, which enables the product's water and oil parts to mix together.
  • Squalane: A conditioning agent made from olive oil, which also has a soothing effect on the skin, while softening it.
  • Glyceryl Stearate SE: Glyceryl stearate is a waxy emulsifier according to the Cosmos natural cosmetics standard, which enables the product's water and oil parts to mix together.
  • Sorbitan Olivate: An emulsifier derived from olive oil according to the Cosmos natural cosmetics standard, which enables the product's water and oil parts to mix together.
  • Cetearyl Alcohol:  Cetearyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol that stabilizes and thickens the emulsion and softens the skin according to the Cosmos natural cosmetics standard.
  • Humus Extract:  Finnish forest humus extract, has been scientifically proven to affect the entire body's microbiome in a positive way.
  • Sodium Levulinate: Sodium levulinate is a very mild food-grade preservative approved by the Cosmos natural cosmetics standard.
  • Oat Kernel Oil: Organic Finnish oat oil contains vitamin E and Omega-3 and -6 fatty acids, among other beneficial factors. Oat oil soothes, nourishes and protects sensitive and thin skin. Omegas have been researched to have a calming effect on inflammation also directly through the skin surface. Oat oil is isolated from the seeds by carbon dioxide extraction, which helps preserve all the important active substances in the oil.
  • Bilberry Seed Oil: The oil obtained from Finnish blueberry seeds contains Omega-3, -6 and -9 fatty acids and skin-regenerating vitamin E, among other beneficial factors. Omega fatty acids have an anti-inflammatory effect. Blueberry oil protects the skin from oxygen radicals and improves the skin's natural protective barrier and moisture balance. Blueberry oil is isolated from the seeds by carbon dioxide extraction, which helps preserve all the important active substances in the oil.
  • Sodium Anisate: Sodium anisate is a mild preservative in accordance with the Cosmos natural cosmetics standard that also occurs naturally in fennel.
  • Acacia Senegal Gum: Acacia gum (also called gum arabic) is a food-grade thickener and stability regulator obtained from the acacia tree.
  • Xanthan Gum: Xanthan gum is a food-grade thickener and stability regulator produced by microbial fermentation (Xanthomonas campestris).
  • Sodium Dehydroacetat: Sodium dehydroacetate is a mild Ecocert-approved preservative that can also be used in food.
  • Citric Acid: Citric acid is a mild food-grade preservative.
  •  Sodium Phytate: Sodium phytate works in the product as a plant-derived chelating agent approved by Ecocert.
  • Glyceryl Caprylate: Is a skin moisturizing and softening ingredient derived from vegetable oil according to the Cosmos natural cosmetics standard, which also has emulsion stabilizing effects.
  • Tocopherol:  Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals.
  • Vanilla Fruit Extract:This natural vanilla extract contains antibacterial and antioxidant features.
  • Sunflower Seed Oil: Organic sunflower oil helps prevent moisture from evaporating and softens the skin. Sunflower oil is generally considered a balancing oil in oriental medicine, which is excellent for all skin types.
  • Rosemary Leaf Extract:  Rosemary extract curbs inflammation and contains skin-protecting antioxidants.

Works Wonders

I have been using this and the Face Oil on my very dry skin during the freezing temps in Finland and it just makes the skin sooo soft and glowie. Also been using it on my childrens cheeks during the harsh weathers and all the red and dry skin is gone! Highly recommended!
